Meangirls: Raine Mara Hopper

My name is Raine Hopper. I grew up in Baytown, Tx as Shane Hopper and spent 26 years of my life convincing myself I was okay with that. Eventually the truth comes out and now I’m 29 and living in a body much more comfortable.
Music has been my passion since childhood, but it doesn’t pay the bills so after 10 years in the service industry I started my own food truck in Austin Texas.
Meangirls was a perfect alignment of ideas when Morgan and I met. I was seeking a new outlet for my new found femininity and Morgan was a talented musician eager to start performing. We sought out other female musicians to round out the line up but eventually settled for two of the most talented boys in the biz.
We released our first album, Squirm Earlier this year and will be seeing it’s Vinyl release in September, just before our performance at fest 15.
