In this episode of The Queer Life radio show, Kaiya Kramer interviews Blake Maxam has spent most of her working life in theatre and has acted with many of the important theatre companies in the Bay Area as well as consulting for them on magic and puppetry. In the second hour we cover the LGBT news and perspectives portion of the show.

Interview: Blake Maxam

Blake Elizabeth Maxam grew up in Southern California within walking distance of four major studios. Gender issues have been part of her life for mumblemumble years and she has done considerable speaking to organizations for those who provide medical, psychological, social or legal services to trans people and their families. She has also spoken extensively to Colleges, Universities, The Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality, and The Gorilla Grotto. She has written for several Bay Area newspapers including The San Francisco Chronicle under her own name and for two national magazines aimed at trans people under the pen name, “Linda Lee”.
